    With the sowing of cotton begins a new cycle<\/h3>

    Sowing in India coincides with the monsoon rains, which are expected in the cotton growing area of Remei in southwestern Madhyapradesh in the third week of June. Farmers who have irrigation facilities can sow earlier.

    “At the moment, seeds are being distributed to farmers. In the first three weeks of May, we distributed more than 4,000 seed packets to our farmers, and we are continuing the seed distribution until the monsoon arrives,” says Vivek Rawal, managing director of Remei India.\u00a0

    This year, in addition to purchased and BioRe research seed, Remei India has GMO-free seed from its own production.

    The cotton season in Africa is running opposite to that in India, where preparations for buying up are in full swing.

    With Remei India Ltd. and Remei Tanzania Ltd., Remei has organic cotton companies on two continents, cooperates with a total of around 5,000 independent smallholder cotton farmers in accordance with the principles of fair trading, and ensures the availability of organic cotton for its B2B partners in trade.<\/p><\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n

    Farmer Dhanpal Daulat from Bada village in Maheshwar has been a contract farmer with Remei India for 26 years. This year he has gotten 8 seed packets from Remei India and has already started sowing as his farm can be partially irrigated.

    Farmer Sukhadev Ambaram Yadav from Ashapur Maheshar village has been working as an organic farmer for 10 years. He has purchased 10 seed packets from Remei India. He too has a partial irrigation system and has already tilled his field on May 27 according to the biodynamic sowing calendar.

    The distribution of a biodynamic planting calendar, a manual on cultivation practices and seed packets is supported by the bioRe Association.<\/p><\/p><\/div>
