Mammut celebrates the one millionth CO2-neutral T-shirt made from bioRe\u00ae organic cotton<\/h3>

Remei is delighted about the successful 10-year partnership with Mammut. We would like to thank the outdoor brand for the good cooperation in which over 1.5 million bioRe\u00ae Sustainable Textiles T-shirts have been manufactured. Since 2013 the shirts are produced CO2-neutral and both Swiss companies are now celebrating the 1’000’000th jointly produced T-shirt.<\/strong>

Mammut is committed to sustainable and fair production as part of its WE CARE strategy.\u00a0 Remei is a specialist for a sustainable value chain from fibre to finished textile and has developed an innovative economic model to meet economic, ecological and human rights-based demands in textile production.\u00a0 <\/p><\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n

The cultivation of organic cotton uses less water and energy and reduces greenhouse gas emissions while at the same time promoting soil fertility and biodiversity. Farming organic cotton also ensures that communities enjoy a good quality of life through their investment in sustainable agriculture. Mammut has been using organic cotton for its T-shirts for around 10 years as part of its close collaboration with Remei AG, the exclusive licensee of bioRe\u00ae.

The bioRe\u00ae brand stands for the highest standards in organic cotton cultivation and fair trading worldwide. The bioRe\u00ae Foundation monitors and guarantees compliance with all standards by means of independent, external institutions. Remei further guarantees 100% traceability along the entire production and value chain.

The unique QR code on each product makes tracing possible:\u00a0 back to the store where the shirt was bought, to the manufacturer, the spinning facility, the ginning location and even back to where the seeds were grown.

The jointly produced T-shirts carry the bioRe\u00ae Sustainable Textiles<\/em> quality label, which distinguishes ecologically and fairly produced clothing made from bioRe\u00ae organic cotton. Both companies are delighted with the one millionth CO2<\/sub>-neutral T-shirt, which measures up to the high bioRe\u00ae requirements.
