Driving system change with inclusive solutions
CREATING VALUE FOR ALL WITH TEXTILES
For us, organic cotton is more than just a commodity. For us, it is a changemaker for everyone involved in the transparent supply chain for Remei traceable organic cotton textiles – from the smallholders who grow the cotton in India and Tanzania, to the partners in industrial production, to the consumer who chooses to buy a garment.
All-Holder Value
Including everyone in the value chain is at the core of our “All-Holder-Value” philosophy, which enables us to work together to not only transform the supply chain for traceable organic cotton textiles in a highly innovative way, but also to achieve systemic change.
Taking responsibility
We use exclusively organic cotton as textile raw material for our collections.
By using only organic cotton for our retail collections, we promote the preservation of biodiversity for people and nature. To increase shape stability and durability, we add Oeko Tex certified additional materials, such as spandex, to individual organic cotton qualities.
We take responsibility for the growing process: The organic cotton in our textiles is fairly traded.
With the purchase guarantee to the farmers, we assume the risk for the planning and for the market access for the organic cotton. By paying an additional premium above the market price, we give the farmers a share of the added value and room to develop.
We work ecologically and socially.
By establishing a complete textile supply chain from fiber to finished textile, we ensure the holistic integration of ecological and social standards right through to the end product.
We practice insetting.
By offsetting CO2 emissions within our own supply chain, we involve partners from agricultural production in our compensation solutions. We offset emissions in the areas where the organic cotton is grown and contribute to better living conditions for the farming communities there.
We produce in a fully transparent supply chain: Our textiles are traceable back to their origin.
In the traceability tool my-trace by Remei, we already integrate cultivation and fair trading of raw materials into the value chain and disclose the further production stages up to the finished textile. The complete transparency of our textile value chain is the basis for system change. Consumers can trace their style back to its origin via a QR code.
