Generation change and change of name: From bioRe India Ltd. to Remei India Ltd.
Together to the next level!
The new company name as well as the generation change stand for a common step towards the next level and the continuation of a trustful cooperation since the 1990s.
On the occasion of the Farmers’ Representatives Meeting on 1 October 2021 at Remei India, Remei Co-Ceo Simon Hohmann, who has taken over from his father and bioRe founder Patrick Hohmann, together with Vivek Rawal, CEO Remei India, and his team, welcome the farmers’ representatives to inform them about the generation change and the change of the company name to Remei India Ltd.
Vivek Rawal took the audience through the history and values of the company. Simon Hohmann acknowledged Vivek Rawal, his team and the farmers for what they have built up over the past 25 years with his father. He counts on their support in the future as well, and ensures that Remei India continues to serve farmers well and offers new opportunities.
Although Simon Hohmann could not be present on site, he used the occasion to exchange views virtually, and also expressed how proud he is to be part of the Remei family.
MEETING OF FARMERS’ REPRESENTATIVES AT REMEI INDIA
Surendrasingh Mandloi, farmer representative, says: “I have been with bioRe respectively Remei for 27 years. Even my father worked for the organic farming company and now my son will take over my job. We are a family. I am looking forward to getting to know Simon Hohmann and his vision. But I also expect new impulses from the new generation of management at Remei India, such as the possibility of selling other crops grown in rotation.”
Sitaram Ramsingh, a farmer representative attending the event agrees: “We are a family and will work with Remei for the next 25 years.”
The new Remei India calendar for 2022 was also unveiled at the event. Every farmer will receive one.
The organic farmers Remei India works with are organic cotton suppliers at the beginning of a unique textile supply chain that meets the strictest social and ecological criteria.
