In Tanzania, we had a good organic cotton harvesting season and completed the buy-up

We thank the about 2,000 organic cotton contract farmers from 32 villages in Meatu and Maswa districts for their good cooperation this year!

Marco Paul, Co-CEO of Remei Tanzania:
“The good weather has favoured cotton growth this season. We have purchased around 5 million kg of organic cotton from our contract farmers according to fair trading principles with a purchase guarantee and additional organic premium. This is more than last year.”

On average, a farmer grows organic cotton on an area of 7 hectares.

Remei processes the Tanzanian organic cotton in a transparent production in the supply chain of Remei with long-term partners ecologically and fairly to yarn and traceable organic cotton textile collections for retail and brands.
