Japan-Switzerland-Tanzania: Live Streaming Event enables a direct dialogue between bioRe® cotton farmers and end customers

In the run-up to the launch of the “Cotton Nouveau Terry Cloth Collection” made of bioRe® organic cotton in January, Ikeuchi Organic Inc. from Japan organized a live streaming event over 3 continents, which linked all production partners involved in the dialogue live and simultaneously with the consumers.

With this unique live streaming experience, Ikeuchi Organic Inc. enabled its customers not only to get their own picture of the trustworthy origin of organic cotton in Tanzania and to directly interact with the representatives of the organic farming business and the cotton farmers, but also to have a direct connection to its own industrial production, and to the Swiss headquarters of Remei, which with its all-holder value economic model is responsible for the entire flow of fairly traded and organic cotton. The social manager of the Tanzanian bioRe® Foundation, which is committed to improving the living conditions of farmers and their families in the growing region, and the Japanese flagship store were also connected.

“For me this is an overwhelming event. After all, one of the most important keys to a sustainable business model is knowing the partners. That’s why it’s great to give the farmers a voice with the “Ikeuchi event”. I assume that no question remained unanswered after this event, as all the experts from each production step were networked live with each other in the event,” said Simon Hohmann, Co-CEO of Remei.
