New form of learning: snakes and ladders game makes agricultural workshops fun
The game uses ladders to illustrate the benefits of organic farming and snake bites to depict the most common mistakes, wrong practices and myths in agriculture. The aim of the game is to promote organic farming techniques and to inform farmers about current agricultural technologies. Above all, the game is designed to make learning easy and fun.
The snake and ladder game has now also inspired Remei’s subsidiary and cooperating cotton farmers in Tanzania, following its successful use and a life-size installation at Remei India Ltd.
Professor Dr. Gubir Singh Bhullar from Switzerland and Dr. Sharma from India introduce Remei Tanzania’s contract farmers to the snake and ladder game on site
Professor Dr. Gubir Singh Bhullar (in the video on the left), who teaches on Sustainable Agroecosystems at the Bern University of Applied Sciences in Switzerland, and Dr. Sharma (on the right) from India presented the game together at a workshop with around 100 participants.
Many thanks to both of them for this great initiative!
