Organic Textile Forum 2023: Marion Röttges on traceable organic cotton textile collections

Marion talks about 40 years of experience with transparency in the supply chain of organic cotton collections, the traceability tool my-trace by Remei, the first version of which has been online since 2013, and fair trading relationships with around 5,000 smallholder cotton farmers in India and Tanzania.

“Working out effective solutions for a sustainable, textile chain together with production partners is what we see as our task,” says co-managing director Marion Röttges.

The Organic Textile Forum is a high-profile forum for the sustainability-oriented textile industry and this year’s motto was “Resources with future potential – sustainable materials and innovative raw material alternatives”. It is considered one of the most renowned German-speaking industry meetings.
