Our activities in the bioRe Foundation: We promote agroforestry in Tanzania

The build-up of agroforestry is one of the projects of the bioRe Foundation that we sponsored last year. With our support, the first seedlings of fruit and medicinal plants could be distributed to the cotton farming communities, which have since grown into small trees. In the long run, they are going to help improve soil quality, provide the shade required for other plants, and contribute to food supply for families.

Remei Tanzania Ltd. was also able to provide the bioRe Foundation with land for seedlings and papaya cultivation on its premises, which is particularly suitable for demonstration purposes and for training farmers in agroforestry due to its central location.

As a significant sponsor of the bioRe Foundation, Remei provides long-term reliable support for the implementation of social and ecological projects in the regions of India and Tanzania where organic cotton is grown.
