Vivek Rawal at the International Cotton Conference Bremen

On 17 and 18 March, experts from all over the world met at the International Cotton Conference Bremen to discuss cotton as a raw material from cultivation to textile product.

Vivek Rawal, CEO of bioRe India Ltd, presented the transparent Remei supply chain from fibre to finished textile, which starts at the organic farming business he runs in the Indian province of Madhya Pradesh.
Suzanne Barrat (BASF), Bernadette O’Brian (European Central Bank) and Dr Kate Harke (Cotton Incorporated) joined Vivek Rawal in the discussion.

The conference combines the latest research findings with their practical benefits. It provides answers to questions on responsible cotton cultivation, seed breeding, biotechnological modification of seeds and their application. Innovative processes for developing new cotton products of a textile architecture and finishing are presented, as well as topics touching on trade and shipping of cotton.
